Zooof.com – Build your family tree

Social communities on the web are now looking more at creating niché's rather than targeting everybody in the world.

Well ZOOOF.com (that's three "o" ' s) is looking at becoming the destination to build your family network online. Based out of the Netherlands, the site has a refreshing depart from the regular colors you see like lime green, pink's, blue's and gray's now we have yellow and it's bright - real bright.

The main concept of the site is for you to be able to build your family tree by inviting other family members, writing your biography, chat, email and sharing of content. The usual cool things that are the core of a social network are there - so what set's it apart.

Well for one you can choose from 35 languages therefore opening itself up to a lot of foreigners who are just plain sick of seeing English only social communities with another language version "coming soon".

Plus they are making it fun the mascot of the site called Mr. Zooof wants to unite the world into one big family by sending the Zooof flag on journey across the world. When you recieve the flag you visit a place special to you, take a picture and send it to their explorer form. Next, you pass the flag on to a new ZOOOF Explorer.

The site has been in invite only status to work out the bugs and is now in a public beta. There is a demo for you to view and they show you how their site works with all its Ajax goodness - the family tree app looks especially cool.
