WTF – Yes WTF Technorati

It's here the next combatant in line to knock digg out of the ring and this is a mean one, its WTF!!

On January 31, 2007 Technorati released a new feature to help people to get explations on things they see popping up in the blogosphere. Sometimes, that's a personality or topic, like Paris Hilton or Tammy Nyp, sometimes it is an explanation of an obscure topic, like Second Life or BuzzTV.

If you think that you've got a better explanation than the one that shows up on top of Technorati search results for a term, no worries, just go and write your own, and get your friends to vote for it.

Will this product finally kill digg after all there is NO WAY to bury something, mark as spam or block from being seen. Bloggers will have fun creating their own WTF's for what's hot and vote for other WTF's submitted.

By the way it means "Where's The Fire?" Right uh uh.

Everybody Go To WTF.

  2. You know…I was in on that TammyNYP circus nearly a year ago. My stats went ballistic. I got 50,000 hits in a few days. Normally I get around 800 Unique Visitors a day. Then a few days ago I noticed I was getting more hits on the Tammy pages. WTF I thought. Somethings going on. So I logged in to Technorati and sure enough – there it was – Technorati WTF launched and it looks like they’ve unblocked the “TammyNYP” search words. They had a “brown out” you know – Tammy crashed their servers last time. So I’ve re-joined the circus – I found some new vids and posted a link to them. Cheerio. Malkie.
