We have just released the new version of WP Auctions, this is the 3rd release of the plugin. For those of you who have not heard about it before, it is basically a plugin that allows you to host auctions on your WordPress powered blog.
Here is a list of the new features for it -
- Place auctions in a post or page
- Auctions for registered users only
- Accept PayPal, wire transfers or checks
- Create and manage as many auctions as you like
- Upload multiple images for each auction
- and many more...
This release has been in development for quite a few months now and me and Owen have been working really hard incorporating all the user feedback and making the plugin perform better in general.

What is to keep bidders from backing out or just someone bidding for fun or just spamming or whatever? This sounds like a great idea, but I want to see if it works first before I go spending 40 bucks on this plugin.
Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a great idea, but it seems like there are a lot of bugs in this thing to get worked out and prove that it really works before you can start charging $40… or if people will even pay for it before they can see that it really gets results.
I’d like to sell some things, but I think the idea of getting some traffic from it is even more interesting.
By the way, where can I go to see all the products listed from the various sites that are using WS Auctions? I’d like to see this in action.
To prevent spam bids you can force registration, it’s a new feature we added for the plugin.
There are many sites, we’re trying to get people to submit web URL’s so we can create a showcase.
