Apparently a lot of people are still skeptical about making a living online. Rightly so, speaking realistically the market will saturate at some point in the future. But not at least for another 20+ years. Save for any humongous natural or man made disasters that might stall growth for sometime.
The only thing I can do right now is make a living online. I can't do anything else, partly because I live in a foreign country and well I really don't want to look for a job anymore because I've seen the power of online income.
There is just so much freedom that one can gain to do other things while making a living online, that it doesn't make sense for anybody not to think about generating at least $10, $100, $1000 or more online monthly. Yes, you will lose a few hours a week to spend on building or managing something that makes you some extra cash. But if you have a few hundred or so to spare you can pretty much outsource development of everything and get it done in half that time it would take you to do so.
You can still keep your day job if you really want it, and as your online income grows you might just start seeing how that extra cash flow allows you to do so much more. You could end up giving up your day job once you get on a roll. Just make sure you don't quit before you've had some success and have some sort of back up plan.
But then again, risk is something you take everyday when you get out of your house and hit the freeway - wow, I haven't done that in 4 years!
The internet is full of resources, you can find many on this blog, for ways to make money online. Secret tips that some marketers use and open forums where stuff like this is discussed - it just takes a little digging that's all.
So go ahead and take control of the power of online income. Just thought I'd get this out of my head, so I had to write this post down. We now get back to our regular programming...
By the way, I would love to hear any success stories any of my readers have to share. You can either leave a comment or send me an email and I'll post it here with a link back to your site or blog.

Idea Building: How To Come Up With Ideas For The Web
Hi Ali. Nice encouragement speech.
Although I still make a small part-time living online, I profit. Right when I made my first 5 cents from Google, I realized the power of earning online. While I work 12 hours per day during the week (that includes a day job in the US), I’m basically working for 3 dollars per hour online, but the good thing about it is that the work you do beforehand will build and continue to make you money, even if every page generates a few dollars over a lifetime.
…You’re still going to make money between now as you say 20+ years from now. I think you’re probably right about that. It might even be hard to get indexed in search engines by then.
Great post! But, I actually think that the market will saturate much faster then that, maybe 5 years. However, I think that the change in the amount of money that you can make online will happen so fast that people will be jumping ship faster then you could imagine, my guess is that would mean that you would be able to make a living online again after the “burst” quite quickly.
I agree Michael, I’m thinking maybe even 2-3 years. When reports of making money online become more mainstream, and ShoeMoney and ProBlogger making it on the front page of newspapers and headlining news reports, then the rush will be on, and only those who built their empires before will be ready for the crunch!
