Techinline is a service that aims to make the lives of computer and technical customer support easier. The best way to describe is in their own way in 3 easy steps -
- You start Remote Desktop Session
- Invite your client by directing them to the techinline.net website { plugin prompt for installation in FF, ActiveX in IE } Client gives you the their Client ID number that will be displayed on their screen
- You enter your Client ID and click Connect Client, that's it. You're now connected.
The client doesn't pay here, you do. So forget about phone support you can now offer Live Online Support, via a Web Browser, for people who have trouble with their computers or for any innumerable applications I can think of, like -
- Providing design tutorials over the net, here you can actually jump in and show them how its done instead of talking or providing a lengthy text version.
- If you are a freelance software developer you can easily jump in on a client's system to see why they may be having a problem with your software.
- Helping your mom install Firefox
...and many more applications. Some of the benefits they suggest are
- Increase support revenue - Increase service contract renewal rate by offering better service without increasing cost of service delivery.
- Improve your ROI - Shorten implementation and support time and increase billable time by doing more work remotely with Techinline Remote Desktop instead of traveling to the customer site.
Overall I think this is a great service, they were so kind as to offer me a membership for the rest of the year - which I intend to use. They also offer a free 15 day trial so give it a whirl, you can't lose with Free! You can buy their plans otherwise on a monthly basis or a pay-per-session basis.

Holy cow! How did you end up with a free membership? I want to try the service because it seems like the best one out there at the moment- haven’t had time to sign up for the trial though. Lucky you.
Looks like a good service, with good support for other browsers that IE (FF rules), but i must say the price tag only pays if you are doing customer support (or providing any other paid service for that matter).
They should have something like a free plan with up to 3/5 sessions/month.
This would help bring more customers and would be a win-win situation.
@beth
I recommend you try out the free trial, I’m sure you’ll be hooked.
@Joao
Yeah, that would be nice. I’m sure they will do so as their service generates more income for them to do so. Not everything can be given away in business.

@Ali
You are right, and i agree business is business but it is still my opinion that a free plan with only a couple of sessions/month would bring more clients, and faster. The power users would most certainly have to pay for the full thing.
Anyway, i have no education in business/marketing whatsoever so it’s just an opinion.
