TechCrunch Going Corporate

Techcrunch has hired Heather Harde who has worked previously for Fox Interactive Media. She is now going to be the CEO of TechCrunch.

A CEO for a blog? Yep, you read that right Michael has pulled a good one here and it is a general boost for all bloggers to feel good, not just for mike, but for yourself as well.

Why you ask?

Well first of all this proves that blogging is more about just somebody writing down your own thoughts and stuff, it is more than just trying to be the first one to break the story, it is also now about business and bottom lines.

She will be running every aspect of the techcrunch blog other than editorial, which mike will still handle. Taking into context the type of money he charges, $10,000 for a 125 X 125, she must have been persuaded with a real nice pay package not too mention a contract to the very least.

And oh yeah, I saw it on Technically Speaking first.
