With hundreds of blogs being created everyday, with content that competes against yours, you are only a few articles away from being dropped by your readers. So how do you keep your readers hooked on to you? By spending your blogging time wisely.
Time is an Investment
You can write as many articles as you like on a daily basis, but if your content is not unique in any aspect then you are simply wasting your own as well as your readers time. Most bloggers when starting out don't realize the importance of creating quality content. Don't expect to create those gems everyday, if you can well and good, at the least try to publish never before read content once or twice a week so your readers stay with you. If that means slowing down your publishing frequency - so be it.
Try not to utilize your time for a popular blogging topic but move outside the norm and establish something entirely new. Don't worry about the money. All the successful bloggers will tell you that monetization of their blogs only got better when they used their time wisely on their blogs.
Don't let Time become an Expense
If you ever get to a point where you question your own articles for quality, prior to publishing, guess what your time has just become an expense.
If you spend too much time formulating posts and it doesn't justify the quality you put out you have just lost that time and you cannot put a monetary value on it. Well you can, but if you think about the passive nature of posts and the repeat traffic that even one post can bring in then you have lost much more time and money than you can imagine.
The Cost of Lost Time
Let's say you spend 2 hours thinking about how to write a really good first paragraph, but it just doesn't work out. In the end you drop it and end up writing a new post in under an hour.
So now you have spent a total of 3 hours for a post that probably won't get any reactions or search engine traffic {this doesn't mean that you have to write for search engines only}, doesn't provide any new thought process and might not monetize well in the long run.
The bottom line is to make sure that whatever content you put out - be it once a day, 3 - 4 times a week etc...that it is off the highest quality you can publish. Your thoughts, your style of writing, your humor, your passion, your knowledge is some of the reasons why people come to read your blog.
So spend your time blogging wisely - It is an Investment.

So very true. Sometimes I find it takes no time at all to write out an article when I am ‘in the zone’. When that happens, I spend the majority of my time proof reading what I have written.
I often proof read at least three times before hitting the ‘publish’ button. That button only gets pressed if I can read all the way through my article without spotting a single error.
