Relevant ads with Adsense

Now the most easy way to get the most out of your adsense content is have the ad code placed as close to your content as possible. You may have noticed on some blogs the ads are placed like you see here smack on the right of the blog posting. Now this is not relegated just to blogs this layout has been used on most content sites that generate a lot of revenue for their advertisers. This layout and another one (which I will tell you about in a later post) are one of the highest turnover placements for any ad regardless of what ad network you are using.

Though the ads will probably only show on the first one or two posts of your main blog page, but in all page specific posts they will show alongside each post.

Now in most cases it has shown that the closer the adsense code is placed to your content the more relevant the ads shown. Now you have to realize that if you place your ad code say in your sidebar the ads shown may not be directly relevant to your content, or even if you place them above the fold and prominently as a 300 X 250 block or 768 X 60 block. The 768 X 60 works well for banner ads and not text based ones in most cases.

(it might take some time till the bots figure it out, so be patient).
