Yep, it was inevitable. The famous, even infamous at times, PayPerPost has decided that any bloggers taking opportunities from their advertisers need to disclose that any such post is sponsored.
The official press release is to come out on Monday but the word is already spreading on some blogs. Advertisers usually come to PayPerPost to look at different ways of blog advertising for a product that they want to promote or create some buzz around. Here at this blog we do as well take some opportunities from time to time but restrict to only accepting posts that we feel strongly about and blog about a product we ourselves would like. Sometimes the posts require a positive write up and if we feel that we cannot talk positively about every aspect of the product we do not take the opp.
So if you yourself are a member of PayPerPost have a look, and oh yeah this post is sponsored by PayPerPost.
