Welcome February!
This blog has been in operation since May of 2006. But I've been only putting some real interest behind it for the past two months or so now and the results are there for me to see.
Now most people will say that blogging for money is unethical, especially when it comes to taking sponsored posts. Well like I've said in my about us page I do not take opportunities to blog about a product unless I would use a product myself or find it useful for my readers, plus I've noticed that since I've been taking a few paid opps my search engine exposure has gone up. I get more daily hits from search engines today than I did in a whole week in May when I launched this blog.
So how much can you actually make from a blog on the internet?
Some people make thousands, some tens of thousands and some make a few dollars every now and then. How can you maximize your content, your readership, your blog's results in the search engines? I hope to keep adding information pertaining to that as this blog grows.
Apart from this blog I run another website/blog that I want to keep private. That site makes me almost triple of what I make here on this one. Since I've only just begun to get this one rolling it would be wise of you to stay with me as I take the journey to make this blog more successful than it has become for me in the past two months. So how much did I make on this blog in January, here's the breakdown -
Paid Opps - $176.80
Google Adsense - $8.00
eChitikia - $0.17 ![]()
text-link-ads - $0.00 (buy a link, $100 in free links from that link)
Total - $ 184.97
Here's the explanation
For 20 opps taken that comes to around $8.84 per opp. Not too good and not too bad but for the amount of words that are needed from 100 - 200 words which would take you around 20 - 30 mins or so, that's not bad. Mostly I only take 1 per day every weekday but if I did it everyday and did two or four like I am allowed to I would make around $530 - $1060 per month according to the average above.
I just implemented Google Adsense when I rolled out my new look in the middle of January and well the earnings aren't that hot but it's picking up slowly but surely.
eChitika mini malls are those cool little gadgets previews you see at the end of each post on their own specific page. Now since they are only visible when you click through to see a post the revenue has been negligible. But I'm working on making that grow.
I have only 4 links that I am offering on my sidebar which will be shown across all the 180 odd pages that this blog contains and which are being found through many various keywords from search engines. Plus it's only $20.00 a month. Use this link to buy and you get $100 in free text-link-ads. You can see my site package at this link.
This month is missing a few days so let's see how I do this month. Sign up for my RSS feed to take the journey with me.

Yeah paid posts are easier to earn far easier than the ads around in the page or it is that way atleast for sites which are not too old…
Paid posts are easy but they can bring the quality of your blog down.
If you are going to go the PPP route I suggest setting up a seperate blog just for it. That way you can make the money and not destroy your own site.
@hmtk
What’s the difference betwen ppp, reviewme and others? You yourself are signed up with reviewme, so it seems like your blog’s “quality” might go down as well when you get a chance to make some cash out of a paid post/review.
If you read my about page you would see that I take opps that I feel would interest my readers, and so far I haven’t received any complaints.
In fact my blog has increased in traffic, RSS readers and return visits.
It is inspiring, Thanks!
It’s inspiring to see the earnings of others online
Keep it up!
