Yes, its the name of a new movie staring Will Smith based on true story that happened to Christopher Gardner in San Francisco. Its also my new inspiration for life.
It is stories like these and experiences that make you sit back think and wonder about life itself and where you are headed with it. I'm a father of two, my wife and I go through the similar routines many people go through in life. Which includes, but is not limited to, getting settled down, feed, clothe and educate your kids. My kids have been my defining point in my life. Nothing else matters anymore. I just want to be able to give them everything I can.
So far in my quest to do so I have managed but its been tough. Jumping three continents to sort of settle down presently where we are and being able to say ok now we can begin raising them with a little assurance of stability (mind you the air tickets to jump three continents haven't been paid for yet).
Now I'm a full time freelancer, I work when I get any work and I have around three sites that I manage which do bring in some income for the very short time that they have been live on the internet. They are a work in progress as is this blog and I've begun to find the direction that I want to take this effort and this blog. Just takes a little tweaking.
What inspired me most about the story is the focus that he had for his son, his life and his job. He did everything he could to stay afloat be a good father and try to make sure that they did not starve to death or were cold at night. I've adopted that as one of my main principles is too focus and set goals for yourself, the higher the better - never aim low. There is no such thing as not being able to do something. You just have to get out there and do it. Period.
