iGliss – Mix, Sync and Share media from the Web and PC’s

*Sponsored Presentation*

Sharing is the new phenomenon of the Internet that just shows no signs of slowing down. iGliss is trying to take that phenomena and make it happen all in one place.

Mix, sync, and share your media from the Web and PCs all in one place is the main message from iGliss. They want to make you spend less time to organize all that stuff and more time enjoying it. The option to share pictures and videos from your PC with "0" clicks is an enticing one. Though you will have to download their PC client for that to work.

The client works by accessing everything that you place into one specific folder on your PC and every time you add or delete anything on that folder the content on your iGliss account will change accordingly.

I created my account and proceeded to add a few blog feeds to see how it works. I had some trouble finding out how to add a feed, after reading the FAQ I saw that I had to first create a folder in order to add any feeds of my choice. They offer you a selection of the most popular blog feeds so you can sign up for them as well if you like. Everything is sorted by Most Popular, Top Rated, Recently Added and so on so you can see what's happening across the blogosphere, and the web, in one big snapshot. All of your personal feeds are placed under "My Subscriptions".

I don't do much video or photo sharing online so I just stuck with the blog RSS aspect of it, though I can still browse through the most popular and recently added under those options as well. But for those who do use services like Flickr, YouTube, Google Video and others you can easily add all you favorites and keep them in one place, as well as synchronize everything you have on your PC onto their website with the PC client.

Other features include the ability to save whatever you are viewing to your favorites, telling somebody via email about what you're seeing and adding comments as well. Of course there is also a star rating feature too.

The site itself has some good functionality, I would perhaps suggest a bit less cluttered user interface. I can see it becoming better as they move out of beta though. They also currently have a promotional give away of an iPod for signing up. I sure could use one.

This is really awesome… I really liked the 0-click upload of the media…. You just put the pictures in one of the designated directory on the PC and wow its up online in fraction of seconds… Sharing pictures couldn’t be easier than this… :)

Great web site. I was able to get all the cool videos from YouTube, Soapbox, and Google in my own channel and watch them in one place. I don’t know how it was done – must be magic behind the scene. All I know is that I can mix videos from the Web and share them with my buddies. Really cool.

I will want to try the PC client to add my videos to my channes. The web site says that no upload is required. Sounds too good to be true, but I will give it a try and see how it goes.

Overall, the web site looks really good. Thanks for the blog.
