If you haven't been following the latest thing concerning blog cms, it's called Habari. The first developer release has just been let out into the open, version 0.1.
Habari is an open source blogging platform which is being developed by Owen Winkler and Scott Merril as the lead founders.
The Swahili word habari translates to 'news', as in 'what's the news?' Blogs -- personal and professional -- are all about spreading the news, so what better name to apply to blogging software?
They are aiming to make the system fast, easy to use and modify. I downloaded the developer release yesterday but haven't had time to do upload and test it anywhere yet though. When I do I will post a full review here.
Download Habari. Habari Project Blog. Concepts for Logo1, Logo 2.
I guess you should also know that it's a beta, so if you find bugs let them know.
