I used to own a LAN gaming center {PC games} back in the days. It used to be a good business, the only thing was that I had partners. In business usually partnerships can be very tricky as mostly they don't see eye to eye on many things. Long story short, our network of computers got consistently bombarded with Spyware.
We used to work in shifts managing the place and whenever I would be on duty I would fix up the main host server and make sure that any spyware was cleaned up from the system due to internet browsing. You would think that it would be fine the next time I came in, wrong! No matter how many times I tried the darn stuff would always find its way back on the server machine. I had a confrontation with the other employees and found out that one of them was visiting "special" self-gratifying sites. Needless to say he didn't work too long after that.
The anti-spyware we had was a free one and it didn't really do much in protecting the computer. The moral of the story is if you have a computer and even if your anti-virus comes with spyware protection features, I know from experience that having a separate program to handle those things is a good idea.
Spy Sweeper is an anti-spyware program that will even find spyware that hides using rootkit technology. Spyware sends information about your computer and your internet browsing activity out, so you definitely don't want to have any of that on your system. It's like always having someone watching over your shoulder.

At my last job, I helped to maintain the five computers that were in our (very) small office. There were six of us employees.
Despite me explaining time and again that visiting certain sites and downloading certain things were VERY. BAD. IDEAS., they continued to do it.
Finally I talked my boss into at least considering Spy Sweeper. She did and purchased it, and I loaded it onto the computers and my job was a hell of a lot easier ever since.
I also use Spy Sweeper on my own computers, and I love it!
My computer was so possessed last year I thought it was going to breakdown. Spy Sweeper is an awesome program and I like it a lot!
