Don't let the title of this post or the website put you off, because it has been true a few times in my case. Especially when it comes to new services I just go all duh!
The Internet has allowed a lot of things to be done online from ordering pizza to shopping for groceries. Even though Internet faxing services are not new - they are still not widely adopted.
Dumb Shoppers.com provides a good overview as well as a side by side comparison of some of the most popular Internet faxing services out there. First and foremost all the services they have shown offer a free 30 day trial - so the best way to get your feet wet is to just sign up and give it a try. Only four services are compared though, I know there should be more than just these four. Perhaps more will be added later on.
Depending upon your location you can choose which service to use and have a look at the various features that each one offers. This type of thing maybe be more geared towards business users so if you are a home user than the local post office should be fine for you, if you're too lazy to walk to the post office but still need fax services then get signed up. It's much cheaper than buying a fax machine or an all in one printer option.
If you live outside the U.S have no fear a few companies have found out that human beings exist out of that continent as well and offer efax services for them {I get so peeved when I see those darn U.S resident only offers and sign ups! AARGH!}.
