Yep, I'm having a competition with some prize money, $35.99 to be exact, to give away. It just felt like a nice random number so that's what the 1000th commenter will be getting.
Right now the comments are at a little above 900 but I'm not going to say exactly how much, that wouldn't be fair now would it. So all you need to do is comment naturally and hope that you are the lucky 1000th commenter. In case number 1000 turns out to be a trackback, the 1001th commenter will be awarded.
Rules
- No comments of a spammy nature
- No, "Nice post" - "I feel the same way" kind of comments
- No leaving comments under different email addresses or names - IP addresses are logged so if there are ANY double comments from the same IP address that address will be disqualified from winning.
- You have to be able to accept the prize money via Paypal
- The 1000th comment can be left on any post on the blog to win
Other than that feel free to comment on my posts as much as you like.
Why am I doing this? Well I haven't really given anything back to the community that has made this blog so far, of what it is, and cash is the easiest thing right now to "ship" worldwide {almost}. So I hope you stick around this blog a lot more and engage yourself by commenting.

Good feature to atract more commentators. But most important is quality of the blog to keep it live, isnt it.
What a great idea! At first when I saw the title I thought, “That is lame. You can just wait until the 990 something post and then start posting.” But of course you are much more clever than that! It is spread out across your blog, so one doesn’t have a single point of counting the number of posts.
