Bloggst – A Community for Bloggers

I'm very very fresh in this area of the internet called blogging and you know what frankly, I never want to mature. Partly because of the same reason I'll always be a kid even when I get old and cranky at 70+.

Blogging is just so much fun and you get to write absolutely whatever you feel like. Some may call it a release, some may call it a way to make money. I call it both those things, BUT I also call it a great way to get to know other people.

Bloggst takes it a step further and gives all of us a place to hang out and learn more about being successful at this thing we call blogging.

Their community site is divided into 3 main sections - Articles, Tags and Blog Forums.

Articles

Under Articles you will find some basic tips on starting your blog, designing, managing to generating an income from it. Upon reading an article in the Income area called Importance of Diversifying your Income in a blog it did raise some good points about channeling your efforts into other forms of revenue source and not just rely on Adsense. Which I have learned as well after seeing that it helps to have more on your page, people like to click on different things once in a while.

The site itself is very new so I am expecting the content on it to grow with age. After all how much can one guy do, right!

Tags

The Tags area is just a collection of tags for topics being discussed in the forums with more popular topics being bigger, so it is a good way to just skip to a specific area if you like - which can be convenient at times.

Forums

The Forums are where all the action is. With a 139 members and 515 replies posted the forum seems to be going strong and the community looks active in the short time that the site has been live. With various bloggers being able to self advertise their site in a specific area, people asking for help with design and code, to just kicking it in the general area I would say that the buzz is good for now and if you get in on it early you can definitely learn a lot. Or teach for that matter.

Overall the design of the site itself is Ok, perhaps he could have done something more with the logo. Perhaps I ask too much, I don't know...maybe...sometimes...oh well.

But yes, the point gets across about what the site is for and the domain name itself sounds catchy - like a blogg street community.

So if you are looking to join one more forum I would encourage you to get in on this one, this has nothing to do with the fact that bloggst has sponsored this post.

Though, I would like to see more main categories in the forums instead of the 6 that are their right now.
