Adsense allows you to add competitive filters. The Competitive Ad Filter enables you to block specific ads, such as competitors' ads, from appearing on your pages.
This option is available under your Adsense setup tab and is called the Competitive Ad Filter. You can block ads across all subdomains, block only ads across a certain sub-domain, block all ads below a specific directory or block all ads for a specific page.

So I have decided to block google from showing their own adwords ads promoting their products on my website/blog. I've done this to show more relevant ads and well just to take that annoying "get your blog with google" and "Monetize your site with google adsense".

I mean come on google, the world knows you and your products stop shoving it on our face. I tried to find information in their adsense faq but didn't see anything about blocking their domain itself. Though I did find this at this link, the summary is below -
"Please note that Google does not commit that all ads for the websites that you add to your competitive ad filter list or ads containing objectionable content will be prevented from display on your site."
Let's see if it works, should know in a day or so.
