Design is a hard, hard, hard job. Your clients will almost always have some nitpicking to do. They will probably tell you exactly what you don't want to hear. For instance, "Can you make it POP?" or "We would like a Flash intro!"...at which point of time you contemplate, well not very good thoughts.
Design is a fun job too. I don't see myself doing anything else ever for the rest of my life. Well, I might like to be on the team that builds the worlds first private space shuttle company...yeah. I sort of always wanted to be a designer, having the typical story of a kid who liked blank paper and crayons more than a book filled with chemistry formulas. So that's my story basically in a sentence.
Andy Rutledge explains in the video below how you can become a designer as well.
Hint: It might involve some Haggis.
