So Vista is right around the corner with RC2 being released, this means the retail version is right around the corner and according to the buzz going around it should be shipping on time this November.
Now before you get all excited about it remember you have to buy it first. The prices will look something like this
- Windows Vista Home Basic: $99.95 (upgrade), $199 (full version)
- Windows Vista Home Premium: $159/$239
- Windows Vista Business: $199/$299
- Windows Vista Ultimate: $259/$399
Wait! There' more. You also need to have a system capable enough to support it. Yep, word has it that the graphics and new features in Vista will need quite some system resources. From this post I found this link and have uploaded my screenshots of what to expect to see once you CAN actually install. I did not install Vista RC2, as well I think l'll wait, have people on the inside maybe I can get a discounted copy
My photoset shows just the kind of things the Upgrade Advisor will look for in your system. Of course I have a pretty beefed up system.
So have a look and see if your computer can take Vista.
