I have tried many times to get into text-link-ads and for some reason they won’t accept my blog. Hopefully this will work.
Do they pay? Anyway, since you said they been around for a while, might as well give a try.
Have you tried these guys out? Has anyone? What’s the average time between being accepted and getting a paid link?

But Most of the companies give preference to Pay for click programs. Whereas webmaster has to look for pay per impressions also.
Because now a days sites are growing explosively, but only the site that contains good content, will retain the customers.
So the sites contains overcrowded Ads , will loose the customers.
