7 Places that would look Awesome in Photosynth

I talked about photosynth some time back and basically I was blown away by it, I can't wait for the time when users can upload their own pictures and make a visual walk through of their visited places. In the meantime let us dream a little dream of 7 locales I would love to see in photosynth.

1. The Grand Canyon
- One gorge to rule them all. Imagine syncing hundreds of photos of in between, over the top, down below, extreme close ups of the canyon rift. That would just be awesome. Plus you can see exactly which area to visit, when you get a chance, to take in the best view.

2. Taj Mahal - I went to see it in March of 2004 and it was simply breathtaking. I took many many pictures. One of the most well known monuments to love the world has ever known deserves a place in the photosynth library. The masonry is simple amazing to see from up close.

3. Eiffel Tower - Zooming in from the bottom and slowly climbing your way up the top to take in an all round 360 view and then all you need is a candle light dinner and a really huge widescreen LCD monitor to make it a perfect evening to propose to your girlfriend at the top of the Eiffel Tower, in your own dining room.

4. The Great Barrier Reef - There you are nemo, I've been looking all over for you! Swimming with the fishes in crystal clear snaps in high resolution with the colors of the coral and marine fish popping out at you will just be simply amazing. { Am I saying amazing too much in this post? }

5. Great Wall of China - Now everybody can walk through the wall of China and not just David Copperfield. Covering the entire border of China this is probably the only man made construction visible from space.

6. The Serengeti - It has more than 1.6 million herbivores and thousands of predators. Blue Wildebeests, gazelles, zebras and buffalos are the animals most commonly found in the region. Nature at its best and worst, 250,000 wildebeest die in the annual migration every year. If the stills of this migration are captured and put into photosynth it would be one of the most visited libraries in their collection.

7. Pyramids of Giza - This is somewhere on my list of to go to places before I kick the bucket. With millions of tourists going to see it every year there really isn't any off season time there, as the sun always shines in Egypt. So watch a fly through version in photosynth and visit it when you get a chance. The complex simplicity of the pyramids just amazes me.

So until those guys over at Microsoft can get all these places into the photosynth library all we can do is fantasize.
