3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, announced the SpaceNavigator for Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. The SpaceNavigator device enables graphic designers working with 3D objects in Photoshop CS3 to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate camera views and 3D objects.
Pressure sensing technology allows the controller cap to become a virtual extension of you. Push, pull, twist or tilt the cap a fraction of inch to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D imagery. Increase pressure to go fast or decrease pressure to make intricate adjustments.
With CS3 on preorder right now from adobe.com you can expect this product to do quite well. Apart from CS3 the product works with 100's of other 3D applications. Me personally I use Swift 3D from erain and am trying to get myself to learn blender. I hope it works with them. This is definitely something I would buy...like now.
Flying through 3D renders of building, looking at your model from any angle possible sounds pretty exciting to me. With prices at $59 for non commercial and $99 for commercial it sounds like a good deal.
