Most people would think having a one word domain is the ultimate web business plan, that is only till you realize that it’s not quite working out as you planned.

There are a lot of one word domains like Business.com, Shoes.com, Car.com that are doing good.

Then there are some domains that just don’t cut it and end up being parked pages or getting bought by other bigger websites and getting redirected. Here are 10 of the many one word domains that are just lying around doing nothing.

1. Bought.com - Imagine a website where you brag about all the things you bought. Sounds like the perfect place for a lot of A-list “Make Money Online” bloggers.

2. Hello.com -This was a photo sharing site of at one point of time till they were bought out by Google. Which probably means they succeeded, but it’s just lying idle right now. Probably would work again for some other business model.

3. Daddy.com - Not much going on here. Interestingly mommy.com is active and well {says a lot about men huh!}

4. Home.com -The home of the internet? They actually sold internet access from 1997 to 2000.

5. Sport.com - Coming very soon? Till then they want you to know that an object in motion stays in motion. Looks they didn’t have the initial motion in the first place.

6. Dad.com - Guys, we really need to fix this. It’s getting embarrassing.

7. Dude.com - I’m actually glad there is nothing here to see, moving along…

8. Honest.com - You get all the best information here about money, health, electronics. Honestly! This domain would probably never ever work as a business online.

9. Advice.com - No advice here, just a parked page. I guess people must be wary of taking advice from other people online, I wonder why? Must have something to do with honesty?

10. Computer.com -It’s a good thing Apple didn’t call itself just Computer. Imagine their ads today - “Hi, I’m a PC” “…and, I’m a Computer” - Instant Fail.

A lot of the one word domains, as pointed above, redirect to other bigger websites that bought them out. So if you find any sites that are just laying around doing nothing let us know in the comments.
