Blogging Tools And Services I Don’t Use Anymore

  • Posted under: Blogging on September 8, 2008

Ever wonder how many tools and services you have stopped using on your blog? I’ve had my fair share of moments when I installed every new widget and signed up for every new service that got announced.

Well, not anymore. Here’s a list of blogging tools and services I do not use anymore. Some of them could probably still be useful to you, but I would ask myself one more time – Do I really really need this on my blog?

It’s 2008 and less is more in the world of blogging.

Blogging Tools

  • Scribefire
  • Widgetbox

Social Tools

  • MyBlogLog
  • Technorati
  • Blogflux – formerly known as Blog Top Sites
  • Entrecard

Making Money Services

  • PayPerPost and SocialSpark
  • Sponsored Reviews
  • ReviewMe
  • Smorty
  • Chitika
  • Feedburner Ad Network

Are there any that I’m forgetting?

What about you, what was on your blog before that you would dare not use again?

  1. I’m always trying new services to try and maximize my profits and make my blog better/cleaner/faster. Several of the ones you mention here I no longer use or promote such as Pay Per Post and Sponsored Reviews. I’m still working on ReviewMe but will probably drop it if it doesn’t bring in anything this month.
