I have to admit sometimes I'm just bored of the whole thing. There are only so many videos, blog posts, articles, news updates, twitter messages, LOLcats pictures you can see in a day. Naturally a day on the web, which I'm not even going to try and formulate, is very different from our normal day.
The times when you are just bored of the whole thing is when you can truly appreciate a good sunshine, a walk in the park, a workout or just a good book {geez, I really need to start reading books more}. It helps if you've got family and/or friends around as well. By the time you've done something else on the outside the web has basically given itself a facelift and you can go back to discovering more about it.
I've talked before about my typical day, though it does vary now and then as I've no real set schedule. Which is probably the best freedom this technology has provided me. The downside is that you can suffer from social withdrawal as you find it harder to take yourself away from the system and mingle with real people. The catch here is that you've spent so much time online that most of your "friends" are actually only online, in different timezones!
That's why I think getting bored on the web is essential if you want to maintain a healthy social and active lifestyle. Thinking outside the box you can do so many things, things that can probably even benefit any online business activity you may be engaged in.
I could go on, but I wouldn't want to bore you now, or myself. So I'll just stop there and let you think up your own ways to use your time off the computer effectively.

I totally agree with you on this! With all the work and structured things on do on the Internet, and for the amount of hours each day I spend doing this, I need at least one day each week to just mess around on the web. Stumbleupon is a great tool for me that helps me just find new websites that I have not seen before. It gets my creativity juices flowing again! Thanks for this great article.
You have great writing!
Just like you said, I need to get away from the computer for a bit because i’m always brain dead.
I couldn’t agree more. I am burnt out, summer makes it a lot harder for me to be inside. It time to be on the lake.
