SearchMe is a new visual search engine that shows you screenshots of search results for queries you perform through them.
I went to check to see if they “grabbed” my blog for a keyword that I’m on the first page of Google for, in most datacenters, i.e. web 2.0 blog. I was amazed to see my blog there! This probably won’t last for long so I might as well gloat about it while I can.
Search Me shows me as the third screenshot in line. It’s kinda nice to see your blog all framed up like that, with a reflection!!

I’m first for another site of mine for some very nice keywords. Though I don’t think I’ll be seeing much traffic from them anytime soon on that site.
The interface is pretty slick, you can see accompanied text based results by clicking on some very discreet arrow buttons all the way at the bottom of the screen. Clearly they don’t want to promote text based results too much.
The search engine also lets you narrow your search by selecting suggested categories, which are displayed with icons once you start typing your query. Overall a nice effort at making search more fun, just not sure if it will catch on as a staple option of searching the web like the Big 3?
