Having a slew of IM addresses, multiple email addresses, social profiles and more, I’ve never had more fun than I’m having with Twitter.
The fact that it doesn’t give me an “online” status means that I don’t need to avoid answering IM’s from people, especially when I’m in the middle of something or chatting with someone else, is probably one of the best features. You can choose who you want to converse with and that’s it. It doesn’t even look rude if you don’t reply to someone else’s tweet because there’s always so much going on with other people you are following or with those that are following you.
I’m going to be using more of Twitter in the future so follow me if you like and I’ll follow you back.
The funniest thing was, as soon as I signed up and started following a few people I knew, they had a network wide “update” lag. So everyone was only seeing a few updates from some people as opposed to all of them.
For a day or two I just thought I didn’t know how to use the service! There’s nothing worse than not knowing how to use a web 2.0 service, especially one as simple as Twitter. I was glad to see that it was not me and just another Twitter glitch. Whew!

I love twitter too and what I love so much about it is that you get to communicate with others without that obligation or feeling of obligation for the other to reply, it makes communicating with others a lot more relaxing and less stressful.

I also just started twittering. This is one area where I feel like I’m missing out if I don’t join.
