You know sometimes the best thing for keeping your creative juices flowing is to do something exactly the opposite of what you do on a daily basis.
For instance, I’m constantly glued to my computer, as that’s what I use to make my living. I get most of my inspiration online and from glancing out my window at a, when available, clear blue sky. It’s funny how something so devoid of matter can be so inspiring! {partly cloudy works sometimes, but not always - when it’s cloudy outside, so am I on the inside}.
My day consists of a lot of hours sitting at a chair and sometimes procrastinating on jobs, there’s one due tomorrow. So, with my sort of deadline looming I decided the best thing to do would be too just get up and get out. I have this dinky old Sony DSC-P8 Cybershot, I really need to get a new one, which has a maximum of 3.2 megapixels, which was like wow - 5 years ago. So yeah long story short, I went out and took some snaps.
Now, I’m not any good at photography but it’s just something I use to keep my creative juices flowing. Since I’m surrounded by a lot of nature, that’s what I tend to shoot the most. I call these pictures - “Everybody in Wonderland“.
I just took the camera and shot at an angle from below, and these are the results -
This one kind of got blurred, I used the flash. It was really windy too.
So is this what an ant feels like?
I’m all ready now to finish up my project before the end of this weekend, so I can start fresh on Monday with some other “inspired” stuff.
Wait, I’m working on the weekend? Well yeah, that’s because I can take time off during the week, anytime. Which I do quite often.
