You only have to do very few things right in your life so long as you don’t do too many things wrong. - Warren Buffett
There is only one thing that makes you different from people that do things right, more than they do them wrong. They don’t trip over the same stone twice.
Having gone through trials and tribulations, testing phases, market research, call it what you may, you need to decide how you want to go ahead and turn all the lessons you’ve learned into a success story that you can talk to your grand kids about in your seaside villa.
Being on the verge of success can be a practical reality for everyone walking on Earth right now. Success can be defined in many ways. Be it getting that job you’ve always wanted, to reaching out and helping someone in need. All it takes is for you to make it happen, rather than let it pass.
Sometimes success can very well be an accident and not meant for you. It’s the fool that sits by and coaxes the other guy who is enjoying his ‘accidental’ success. Guess what happens to the fool? He remains one and will blame everything around him, and others, except himself for his inaction.
Go Get Some
Finding the drive to get up and go out of your way to get some of your own success is 90% of the battle. Once you start and begin to lead yourself, others will follow. That’s how leaders are made. Natural leadership shines through {can’t say that about politicians though}. Browsing through various blogs and websites you can see for yourself who are the leaders and who are the followers.
As an example, take a walk in the park and you’ll see it for yourself. Kids forming groups to play where one of them ends up making the rules and the rest say “Yes, OK”. That kid has the potential to be successful in his career and life. It could still happen that circumstances might not favor down the road, but that kid will always have the charisma around him to influence people in his/her interest.
So how do I position myself to be on the verge of success? It’s simple. Be ready to accept and learn from your mistakes.
