Challenge Experiment On Hold

Posted by Hyder on February 2nd, 2008

I’ve had to put the Challenge Experiment {this was where I was supposed to launch a new blog and gain 100 RSS subscribers in a month} on hold. There’s a lot happening right now and I don’t think now is the right time to launch another blog, let alone take up a challenge.

The first rule of blogging is to make sure that you are ready for it. I would totally start the blog if it were not for the challenge, but seeing as to how busy I already am I don’t think it would be a wise decision. It’s not about not being able to meet the challenge, it’s about being able to provide the best case study possible to bloggers looking to make changes in the way they run their own blogs.

The challenge will however commence nonetheless on March 1st, come hail, rain or snow. Actually that doesn’t affect anything. What could affect it is if a ships anchor falls on my internet connection, apart from that I don’t see anything stopping me then.

I’ve already registered the domain and set up hosting. I guess this gives me more time to spruce it up and find some of the best online resources to do so. Look for more posts of that nature this month.

and I was thinking about it. Anyway looking forward to your study and results.
I have shown such interest, because this was my master thesis subject (attention and participation in the social web). My blog was the practical part of my theory.
I’ll post a full downloadable version of the thesis in a couple of weeks, where all the results are included (now you can just download or edit the theoretical part).

P.S. I didn’t get 100 subscribers in a month, but a constantly increasing number of unique visitors. :)

Oh! that’s a drop of 2 months since you finally confirmed on this challenge. Anyhow I would be eagerly looking forward to this experiment.
