Exposed – Michael Arrington Is A Liar! He Loves Izea!

Social Spark is Izea's, a.k.a PayPerPost, new offering in the growing sponsored content market and they have just released a buzz video showcasing everything you need to know about it as a blogger and as an advertiser.

The video has some good production value put into it, but there is something really really upsetting in the video. The beacon of faith for disclosure and transparency in the blogosphere, none other than Michael Arrington is in the video!

Traitor!

To check out the whole video visit the site. Naturally Ted & Co. thought of having a little fun. I wonder if Jason Calacanis is in there somewhere? I did see Guy Kawasaki though during a brief swoosh of profile pics.

Social Spark is bringing something new as part of their offering, it's called Blog Sponsorship. What that basically is it lets an advertiser place a Welcome Mat or Persistent Sponsorship Banners on a blog. It can either be text, video or image based. An advertiser has to pay per day for the blogs they select to run the sponsorship.

There has been some discussion about this saying that it might one of those peel off ads or a splash screen a visitor might see when they first access your blog. You know the kind that you see on most newspaper sites, I personally find them really annoying. I'll have to wait and see to make a final judgment on that though.

Social Spark seems to be going into a closed alpha in January. I'll let you know if they let me in.
