When WidgetBucks launched they practically set the blogosphere on fire with their ad program. My referral downline itself was around 35+ and growing. Then they dropped a bomb by not paying for international clicks, apparently they said we don’t convert as highly as U.S. based traffic. I dropped them from my sidebar and so did a whole bunch of others. Well, international publishers can now choose to use them again with their new CPM offering.
We are now serving CPM ads to the non-U.S./Canada traffic. This will give you revenue, per impression, for your site visitors who come from other countries. This is designed to help publishers who have a blend of traffic from a variety of countries.
All I have to say is - It’s about time!
I’m still not comfortable with the fact that they are not showing their regular ads to visitors outside of the U.S./Canada. Around 70% of my blog traffic is U.S. based, so I would think they lost a lot of business on my end in the time I did not display them on my sidebar.
I’ll do an update post later on how the new CPM ads are performing. To activate the CPM ads, if you are an international publisher, you will have to update your ad code from your “My Widgets” panel. CPM ads will be shown to international visitors whereas the regular ads will be shown to U.S./Canada visitors.

I have been debating on putting WidgetBucks on my blog, I’m still not sure whether I will or not but this definitely makes me lean towards putting them on my blog.
