My First Premium WordPress Is Theme On Its Way…

  • Posted under: Internet on December 11, 2007

I have finally started developing my first premium WordPress theme {I haven’t decided as yet what I’m going to call it}. The theme I’m building has absolutely no images and relies purely on CSS for its beauty. The advantages of having a CSS only theme is that anyone with limited knowledge of HTML and CSS can edit it, giving way to countless looks for one basic template.

Actually it’s not just one theme, it’s more like 4 – 6 themes all packaged together. Using the same framework I’m developing various layouts so that anyone looking at developing or customizing their own site can do so without the help of a designer. Right now my plan is to offer one from the entire set for FREE, the rest will come together in a Premium package for a low price.

Some of the features that you can look forward to in it are -

  • Between 4 – 6 popular blog layouts
  • Valid XHTML/CSS
  • Highly customizable
  • Compatible for WordPress 2.2.x+
  • Free support for premium package buyers
  • Tabbed browsing for featured content
  • etc…

I think it might take me another week or so to get everything set in place. But I’ll probably wait till the New Year to launch it, as the timing would be better then.

Also, look forward to something else WordPress related soon, actually make that two things! ;-)

  1. I’m pretty excited for the theme, I’ve been looking for a new theme for my blog for a while and haven’t been able to find one I really like yet. Hopefully this theme will be what I’ve been waiting for.

  2. I love to see your CSS only theme. Hope it’s near to finishing touches.
