$153,000 Pixelotto Jackpot Countdown Begins
Yes, I'm talking about the pixel wonderkid himself. It's been a year since Alex started his new venture in pixel advertising off the back of his Million Dollar Home Page success. Sadly not too many advertisers lined up the second time, but hey I wouldn't complain with $153,000 for a year just for having a website with itty bitty graphics up!
The countdown to the draw for the prize money, which is also $153,000, has officially begun today and the winner will be chosen on January 5th, 2008. I think you can still enter to win, correct me if I'm wrong there.
Let's just hope he doesn't put the pixels up for sale again. What's worse is, if he actually does decide to I hope advertisers know better than to pay $200 for a 10 X 10 pixel spot! You can get better advertising rates on my blog, with a better ROI.
Good luck to all those who joined and diligently clicked on the ads. I didn't.

haha, hadn’t heard about pixelotto till now. It’s just dumb if you ask me, and the home page looks like crap. The colors are horrible, and that ads are a jumbled up.

Probability of winning:
p = 1 / Y
The question is how much is Y… 1000 ?
According to posts on http://blog.pixelottoreport.com/ , there are around 30,000 registered players, but individual advertisers only report between 1,200 and 5,000 clicks in total.
Which means, if this were a lottery you had to pay to enter, it would be worth paying $153000 / 5000 = 30 bucks for a ticket.
Or 30 bucks worth of effort to log in and click on 10 ads every day.
