I’m on a mission to minimize the amount of work that I do while maximizing the amount of productivity I get out of the time I actually spend doing so. How am I going to accomplish this? Here’s a few steps I’ve thought of -
- Blogging early - I’ve realized that I have so many fresh ideas in the morning and the best thing for me to do would be to just get them out of my head and onto my computer. I think I’m going to spend a whole 2 - 3 hours every morning just typing out my posts. Rely on photo stock sites for images, use the time stamp feature and have my blog on auto roll for the next 2 - 3 days.
- Design more, Read less - Being a web designer I need to constantly create. But nowadays I find myself reading too much creative material and not actually implementing the stuff I’ve read. It’s time to take those photoshop brushes and get creative.
- Exercise - I don’t work out enough. Hence I feel lazy at times, this really hampers the above two points. If you want to maximize your productivity you need energy. Exercise gives you energy, sitting too long on a computer chair can give you hemorrhoids. 30 mins every weekday from now on is dedicated to exercise.
- Sleep on time - No point in staying up thinking of more points, need to go to sleep so I can be all fresh tomorrow. Can’t write blogs posts feeling all tired from the day before. You’ll just work longer and won’t produce as much.
I’ll let you know how this worked out for me tomorrow. What steps do you think would help you in minimizing your time spent working, while maximizing productivity of that time?

Good points all round. Work / Life balance is a very important thing to try and maintain. People underestimate the power of sleep to recharge you and your creativity
