I’ve been blogging for over a year now and I’m having quite some fun doing it. But as I think past 2, 5 or even 10 years down the line, I say to myself - Will I still be doing this then? Unless of course I get some good offers to buy my blog out I don’t mind starting off with something new altogether. Not that I’m not secretly planning it on the side

This blog is a great little extra income earner, but most of all the connections I am making are so much more valuable in comparison to the amount of money I’m making with it. Therefore I believe it’s in my best interests to keep blogging for a long, long time to come.

Staying Active

Probably one of the biggest challenges in blogging is staying active. Not just on your own blog, but on other blogs around you. The more you interact the more you feel like doing it. I used to work in a restaurant, as an office manager, whenever I got bored I just went downstairs talked a little bit to the employees, customers and even random people just walking around in the gift shop. It helped me keep focus on my job, and I actually enjoyed doing it more.

In the same way if you’re blogging and seeking a benefit out of it, you need to take a walk around your community once in a while. It keeps you fresh.

How Long…?

Blog for as long as you feel like. I don’t see the internet getting quieter in the next 10, 20 years or so. So I think I’ll be around. By that time who knows I’ll probably be a grandad blogger. Heh! would love to reference this post 20 years down the line.
