We as consumers can only really affect change by changing our purchasing habits. Purchase products that have minimal packaging. (as suggested) Stop buying bottled water! Bottle your own with water that you have filtered. Carpooling is the quickest and most effective way to create change. (as suggested) If 150 million people drive every day. A simple carpool(1 extra person in your car) would eliminate half the cars on the freeway. No traffic jam! Yay! Here are some radical ideas. 1. Compost your yard waste and vegetable scraps. 2. Paint asphalt white (reflect some heat) 3. Buy a solar energy system for your home. 4. Buy a wind energy system for your home. 5. Stop buying SUV's 6. ... this list could go on forever. If we wait for "them" to do it, it'll take forever just for them to decide to do something. Then a bit more of forever to decide who is going to do what. Take action today! I can’t agree more.
