Every 4 years the Olympics take place in different locations around the world. I personally enjoy watching the games and naturally the pinnacle of the entire event for me is the 100m dash. I vaguely remember watching Carl Lewis, my favorite, run his races. I was a kid then and quite enthusiastic about hopefully being a runner myself one day. Fast forward a few years to today and…well I haven’t run my big race, yet.
In the run up to the games Samsung is asking you to Nominate torchbearers for the historic Torch Relay to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
You can nominate someone you know who is a local hero and has done something to achieve a better life overcoming difficult obstacles or someone who has helped other people to do so. In total, 4 winners will be chosen to run in either the London, Guilin - China or Xi’an - China leg of the Olympic Torch Relay.
The torch is going to pass through 20 countries and 23 cities beginning April 1, 2008 - May 3, 2008. It will also make its way through China before the actual beginning of the games.
Do you know anybody worthy to be nominated? If yes, then go ahead and do so. Deadline is October 14, 2007.

You can nominate anyone for this? That is amazing it is going through so many countries. It would be such an honor to carry the tourch I think.
