It's easy to say this will take 3 days and that 2 days, but testing (in all it's various forms - Unit/User etc) takes time. You've also got to factor in the time it takes to report any bugs and then fix them. Project management is a tricky subject. Yeah – I think people often under-estimate the time a project will take.
