Which Web Design Company? – Rate and Review at WWDC

Which Web Design Company is a growing directory of rated and reviewed website design companies; a service useful for any business looking for a web designer.

Launched early in 2007, initially for the UK market, WWDC now has over 700 web design companies registered. Last week they opened up the service to businesses in the US, Canada, Ireland and India. Each will have their own separate sub-site.

Let’s face it, choosing a web design company is a pretty tough job when you don’t know what you’re looking for. Mostly you tend to ask yourself –

  • Do you go for the best price?
  • The company who is based closest to you?
  • A friend who designs sites as a hobby?
  • Or one that was recommended by the company next door?

To date, the industry has mostly worked through referrals, and Which Web Design Company is the first to take this very concept to the Web.

At Which Web Design Company a business can search and find web design which matches their particular criteria – whether that’s price, location or type of website required. They can narrow down their choice by reading ratings and reviews by previous clients and can contact the web design company directly.

Have a look at it. It’s pretty sweet. I’m going to be adding my web design company to it soon.

  1. I think you should go for the company that impresses you the most with its previous work. But the price is also a factor, can’t deny this.

On the other hand, if you’re just a young blogger struggling to get out and you have no dime in your pocket, going with friend that designs cool things in its spare time might be a solution too, as long as the result is not crappy. It won’t be as good as the work of a skilled designer, but hey, you can pay it with a couple of beers
