ProWorkFlow - Project Management Done Easy

Working as a freelancer you sometimes get a few clients who contract you for a few months and demand you log into their employee management software. It wasn’t always the most pleasant experience. Mostly because the system didn’t perform well apart from the dozens of other faults the software would have. If they had used something like ProWorkFlow - then I would have probably enjoyed logging in more often.

ProWorkflow is a fast and easy to use project management software which is web based. Meaning no downloads required, though the option is available if you want to host it yourself. It can be used by a single user or for a small to medium sized business to manage projects, keep time records, plan, delegate and more such related tasks.

The software is feature packed, and looks fresh too. So now you can actually feel good about logging in and managing your employees, your own work, and checking up on projects that need doing.

Some of the features sets are -

  • Projects Manager - Create, edit, categorize and delegate projects
  • Tasks Manager - Monitor tasks that are needed to be completed
  • Time Manager - View all work undertaken and analyze staff production time
  • Contacts Manager - Manage your contacts in a user friendly enviroment
  • Notes Manager - Clean up the little sticky notes you leave everywhere, and put them here

and many more. Each feature set listed above has too many numerous sub features to be listed here. Visit their Company Website for full details.

If you want to get your feet wet and try the software out I suggest you sign up for their Free Trial Accounts. The free trial is for 14 days and you can continue using your data you have uploaded after you migrate to a subscription account.

A single user account costs $15 p/m and increases the same amount with each new user added. You get 100MB free storage, storage space upgrades start from $50 p/m for an additional 250MB.

Plugins

The software currently has two plugins that can be ordered along with the subscription. One of them is an Invoice Manager and the other one is a Quotes Manager. They have a few more that are being developed, plus you can suggest plugin ideas for them to consider.

Overall I think the software has some pretty nifty features and is probably something I would use myself, being a full time freelancer and having various projects and tasks due all the time. Plus, with a web based system I can manage it from anywhere and not need to have all my data stored only on my local system.

The owner of ProWorkFlow also keeps a blog at Julian101.com, it has some interesting posts about the company and some of his own personal experiences running it. Have a read.

  1. Sounds Awesome!

Though I am biased since I work for ProActive Software!

  2. Hah, Well yes that would make you biased. :)

  3. Biased - yes! Even so - looks pretty cool. I may give it a twirl.

  4. I’m joining the free trial period right now. Hopefully all the features will be included in this demo, so i can make an idea about the product..
