New Digg Design

  • Posted under: Design on August 28, 2007

If you haven’t noticed yet, digg has put up a new design for their site. The major change is with the drop down menu for the main categories as well as to see all of your friends activities, but the best one is the ability to bury a story without giving a reason. You can still do so, it’s just optional now.

I personally like it, though they now have more flash ads on the story pages, which can get pretty annoying. But for those who have AdBlock installed it shouldn’t be a problem.

The design first went live by mistake after the site was down briefly, soon after then the site went live with the new redo.

What do you think about it? I’m getting deeper into web design nowadays as a lot of personal projects are taking shape. So this has me intrigued in terms of usability and appearance.

  1. I like it :)

  2. It’s beginning to grow on me as well, slowly but surely.
