A free online blogging community, much like blogger and wordpress, thoughts.com is a place for people to share their thoughts. Featuring -

• Share your videos
• your photos
• your music files
• and your podcasts

Each member of the community can rate other members blog posts, photos, podcasts and videos. If you get a high enough user rating, above 4.0, you get to post in the community blogs section. Which is reserved for the highest quality of posters and are the most visited pages on their community. So you probably end up getting some good exposure, while probably at the same time driving traffic to your personal blog on their site.

Going over to the recent posts section you can see the latest entries made by members along with a selection of the most popular tags being used on blog posts. I guess it would probably add more interaction if they had some kind of dynamic update going on with the blog posts, rather than having to refresh.

The popular blogs section shows the top 10 blogs, in their community, and you can browse and read at your leisure. One thing I noticed was that there isn’t much in terms of blog customization as every blog I visited had the same layout. Customization of blogs is a huge deal today, perhaps they should consider including it in the near future.

They do have some prizes up for grab for members. They are offering a free 6 month Netflix membership to a selected member who refers another active member, the drawing is random. Also they seem to be offering an annual vacation getaway, this year it’s to Las Vegas. So if you think you can win sign up for a free blog with them.

You are free to browse through member blogs, photos and videos. Commenting requires sign up. The service is still in beta so look for it to improve as user base and suggestions grow.
