Babelgum – New CEO, Film Festivals, More TV Online

Babelgum, read review, has a new CEO Valerio Zingarelli. He was the former Global Director of Networks and Service Platforms for Vodafone. I hear about Vodafone everywhere in Europe, so must be a good thing.

Also they have announced a new beta version {0.9.1} which has some user interface improvements, improved search results and several bug fixes. Download here.

Plus they have established partnerships with various Film Festivals like Giffoni Film Festival, are in the works for Rushes Soho Shorts Festival and FiberFub Music Festival. So a lot of content is definitely being worked on to be streamed over their network.

Also around 30 content partners are on their play list, or being uploaded, ranging from major broadcasters to independent content creators.

What's your experience been with Babelgum so far, or any other similar online content provider like Joost or the new Veoh TV? Share in the comments.

By the way, have you heard of this mad cow?

Babelgum just seems to be Joost with lesser known content partners.
