I’ve seen quite a few bloggers who regularly take their holidays as they would normally with a 9 - 5 job. Most of these bloggers usually run much more than the blog you read on a regular basis, so they can afford to do so. Some though can’t stay away from their blogs even while on holiday. Like John Chow, he’ll show how much alcohol he drinks no matter which part of the world he’s in.

Some bloggers are lucky enough, or have been blogging long enough, that their income from their online activities can afford them a good week’s {or more} rest - and still make money while they’re away! If you’re on your way to also living comfortably off your blogging income then taking a break can be a good way to rejuvenate yourself and come back with more fresh ideas than you ever thought possible.

You may not have noticed, but this blog has been on auto publish, since the 9th of June. That’s right I’m on a holiday right now by the sea. Now my blog certainly doesn’t make anywhere near what most popular bloggers do, but yet my other online activities, like freelancing, have afforded me a break after some really hard work. I’m not rich beyond my wildest dreams, I don’t make tens of thousands of dollars a month - but I’m comfortable with what I have so far and I’m thankful for that.

The internet has made something possible for me that I would have never thought possible in my wildest dreams. I haven’t had an “office” job for the past 3.5 years, but yet supported a family, started a brick and mortar business, traveled a little here and there and now I make money online full time. Sure, I have some debt on my head - but you know what if I didn’t then life would just be too easy. That, frankly, would be boring.

So take a holiday once in a while even if it’s just for the weekend. Go away somewhere, let people read your archives, and come back fresh and ready to hit the keyboard again.
