Geeks Are Sexy - Well, Thank You!

When you hear the words “geek” and “sexy” in one sentence it’s very hard to comprehend the two together. But Geeks are Sexy doesn’t care about that, they proclaim it and they say it with pride. A Top 5 blog winner [GAS], as they like to be known, thought it to be a good idea to get some more additional exposure from my blog and ordered up a review for me to discuss their site.

What is Geeks are Sexy?

Well they’ve been around for much longer than I thought! Their first home was on blogger where they outgrew a free hosting solution and decided it was time to move on to a paid hosting service, they are now housed at their own domain Geeks are Sexy where their mission is simply -

Providing up to the minute tech. news, reviews and tutorials to our readership, which is mainly composed of IT professionals and computer enthusiasts.

Their team consists of 1 founder, only known as Kiltak, and 5 other contributors with the co-editor being Matt Pearson - the resident web monkey.

Are they any good?

Well of course they are! They wouldn’t have won, or been nominated for that matter, the Top 5 blog competition otherwise. Plus I would like to note that even though all the other blogs that were nominated blogged and sent visitors here to vote on the polls [GAS] did not notify their readers till waaaay after. They still won by a fairly huge margin.

So what are they good for?

Focusing primarily on anything to do with technology, I decided to go into their archives to find some of the more interesting stuff

So as you can see they do have some pretty varied content there and the posts hit the mark without getting into too much gibberish.

Geeks like their news fast and quick and Geeks are Sexy is here to provide it to them.

How attractive are the geeks?

The layout is clean, straight forward and easy to navigate. Go ahead and give them a look, geeks don’t bite…well at least most of the time.

I’m a proud geek and my wife says that I’m pretty se….nevermind.

They do have a very very good site for the tech interested, which I am. One thing I’ve wondered though. They own the GeeksAreSexy.com domain, but have it forwarded to their GeeksAreSexy.net domain. Most people would go the other way around. I’m just curious why they would opt to sit on the .net instead of the .com? Any ideas?

The problem is that the blog was initially started on the .net. Then, we acquired the .com 3 months later.

I’ve been reading Geeks are sexy for about a year now, I’ve always liked their content and lets face it, geeks are sexy
