Before Launch
Get yourself ready, if you’re on the internet to get read then you better do some reading yourself. Check out a few different blogs, even on topics that are not related to you. Sometimes just reading someone’s writing style and taking in a bunch of different content can do wonders for your own.
Network with people as potential readers. Join a few forums, or any social site that let’s you add friends. If you have to start with family, classmates, colleagues so be it. But make sure that you can get to know at least a few dozen people who can help spread the word about your launch when it does happen.
A Few Days To Go…
You’re getting your blog all spruced up, patching up any holes and applying that last coat of paint. All looks fine and now you are slowly dropping hints around that you are going to launch your blog. Your friends and colleagues get excited, but don’t say too much just yet.
Wait till you have your content ready and at least a few articles are already posted on your blog.
The Night Before
Check to make sure everything is A-OK. If you get anymore ideas for some Rockstar content then go ahead and write it down. Variety is key here. No matter what you blog about make sure that you stay true to your personality.
Everyone has a fun side to them, so make sure it shows in your writing. For the beginning - keep it short, simple and informative yet insightful. Think of your blog as a concert, the moment you get on stage people want to see you perform with a little snippet of things to come. You can start from anywhere between 5 - 10 posts and then decide on a posting frequency.

You can get a little excited now and jump up and down as you see some traffic and comments coming in, but beware the show has just begun. Let the readers enjoy the show you’ve created and tell them that you’ll be Live every night {or day} however many times a day you decide.
If your content really rocks then you get even get dugg, just make sure your server can handle it. If it’s happened to other bloggers, it can happen to you as well.
