Amazon is no longer letting clients of Zlio promote their products in Zlio Shops. See past coverage.
In a letter to Zlio the company was informed through a generic email that with immediate effect Amazon products in the United States cannot be promoted by Zlio Shop Owners.
The president, Jeremie Berrebi, writes -
For the past week we have endeavored to understand and get to the heart of their concerns – Amazon has remained inflexible.
Shop owners though can still promote products from Amazon online stores outside the U.S. Amazon seems to be on a rampage lately with the whole Alexaholic Statsaholic debacle and now this.
Zlio though is working to get more merchants in their system from the U.S, they are in talks presently with Barnes & Noble. So if you have a Zlio shop take a look to see if you have any U.S Amazon store products and remove them as you will not be paid commissions on any resulting sales. Read more on their blog here.
Zlio on their end will be replacing all similar products from other retailers, who they are partnered with.
I wonder what prompted Amazon to take such a move? What if Zlio did something on their end to deserve this?
