TapeFailure has launched it’s services to the world. Tapefailure, I’m just skeptical about using failure in domain names, lets you record tapes of each visitor to your site and some of the features are

• discover how users are browsing your site
• see what your users see — and ignore
• filter your tapes by various factors, including:
• browser
• platform
• window size
• tape length
• date of recording

So this is in comparison to crazyegg which lets you view heatmaps, tapefailure offers it too, but not record actual movements. Spotback

Spotback offers a rating, discovery and recommendation platform that can be easily used for any type of content. Spotback widgets are free, easy to install and guaranteed to improve your users’ online experience which result in more page loads. I’ve seen their widget on quite a few diff. sites and it works well. Still contemplating whether I want you all to rate my writing?

They have some new features and announcements -

• Wordpress Plugin - This plugin makes installation of the rating widget on Wordpress and Wordpress MU (Multi Users) platforms a snap. Check this link for more details.
• Related Content Recommendations - This new feature will instantly connect stories that people like with other relevant stories. When hovering with your mouse over the rating widget, a list of related content will appear exposing users to additional relevant content that other users liked.
• Widget Gallery - The gallery just got bigger and better and the installation process has been simplified.

They are also planning to introduce new content owner statistics, that they are working on, very soon. It will allow site owners to get statistics about their site usage, ratings, most visited content and more.
